Join Martin Freilinger, Caterina Nitto and Lorenzo Manzoni from Sardinia Yacht Services, as they take us on a journey to explore the beautiful and historic island of Sardinia, the Mediterranean second largest island after Sicily. The island has belonged to various empires and kingdoms over the centuries with each leaving their stamp on Sardinia’s culture. Some of the over 7000 prehistoric archeological sites showcasing some of the oldest prehistoric civilizations in Europe. The most famous historic artefacts on the island are the mysterious Nuraghe monuments that are huge cone-like towers made up of giant stones, that were constructed between 1800 BC to 500 BC. However, the main attraction of Sardinia are its many coves and beaches with crystal-clear turquoise water and white sands. With a coastline of a bit over 1000 nm there are also more than 300 caves and grottoes than can be explored. Sardinia offers some amazing places to visit and is also home to some unique wines that can only be found in Sardinia. A true gem that is a perfect destination to be explored on a superyacht!
